David Sheen - Director of Policy & Research

David Sheen joined the ALMR in April 2017. Prior to this he worked for over 12 years for the British Beer & Pub Association, covering a range of issues for brewers and pub owners and operators. David has also worked on licensing and general alcohol policy issues. He has also edited the BBPA’s Statistical Handbook and worked to promote the economic value of the sector.

David is a keen supporter of the licensed trade in his spare time and is on an odyssey to visit as many pubs as he (responsibly) can. He is a recently retired mediocre cricketer and football keeper, who now enjoys both sports from the sidelines.
